Turkey Gravy

Cook Time: 1.25 Hours


  • Turkey Giblets and Neckbone

  • 2C Chicken Broth

  • 2 Medium Carrots (Finely Chopped)
  • 1 Celery Rib (Chopped)
  • 2 Large Shallots (Finely Chopped)
  • 1/2C Corn Starch
  • 3C Cold Water
  • 1/4C Turkey Drippings
  • 2t Chicken Bouillon Granules


  1. Place Giblets, Neckbone, Broth, Carrots, Celery and Shallots in a large saucepan and bring to a boil.

  2. Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 1.25 hours.

  3. Strain and discard Giblets, Neckbone and Vegetables

  4. Set cooking juices aside.

  5. In another large saucepan, combine Corn Starch and Water until smooth

  6. Stir in the Drippings and Bouillon until smooth.

  7. Gradually stir in the reserved cooking juices.

  8. Bring to a boil, cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened. Season with pepper.
