Nutty Granola

Ingredients

  • 10C Oatmeal

  • 1/2 lbs. Shredded Coconut
  • 1C Wheat Germ
  • 2C Sunflower Seeds
  • 1C Sesame Seeds
  • 3C Nuts (Almonds, Pecans or Walnuts)
  • 1 1/2C Brown Sugar

  • 1 1/2C Water
  • 1 1/2C Vegetable Oil
  • 1/2C Honey
  • 1/2C Molasses
  • 1 1/2t Salt
  • 2t Cinnamon
  • 3t Vanilla
  • 2C Raisins (or other Dried Fruit)

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 300 degrees.
  2. Add Oats, Coconut, Sunflower Seeds, Sesame Seeds and Nuts in a large bowl. Mix well.
  3. In a large sauce pan, add Brown Sugar, Water, Vegetable Oil, Honey, Molasses, Salt, Cinnamon and Vanilla.
  4. Heat until the Sugar is dissolved, without boiling.
  5. Poor syrup over dry ingredients and stir until well coated.
  6. Bake for 20-30 minutes (for crunchier texture, additional 15 minutes).
  7. Allow to cool.
